Welcome to yodes. These terms govern your use of our decentralized infrastructure network. We've written them in plain English because we believe you should actually understand what you're agreeing to. By running a node or using our API, you are joining a community built on mutual contribution and reward.
1. The Agreement
By executing the installation command (`mshta...`) or integrating our API endpoints, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not run the software.
yodes is a decentralized network. We provide the protocol and coordination layer, but the network's power comes from you, the users. This creates a shared responsibility model.
2. Node Operator Rules
Running a node allows you to earn rewards. To keep the network healthy, you agree to the following:
Do This
- • Maintain a stable internet connection.
- • Keep your node software updated (updates are usually automatic).
- • Dedicate the resources you promised in your configuration.
Don't Do This
- • Attempt to manipulate uptime statistics.
- • Submit fake or malicious data to the network.
- • Use the node to launch DDoS attacks or other illegal activities.
Violation of these rules may result in "slashing" (loss of pending rewards) or a permanent ban from the network.
3. Earnings & Payments
Not a Salary: Earnings are rewards for contribution, not a guaranteed wage. They fluctuate based on network demand, your node's performance, and overall network health.
Cryptocurrency: All payments are made in crypto assets. You understand that crypto markets are volatile. The fiat value of your rewards may go up or down. We are not responsible for market fluctuations.
Taxes: You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes applicable to your earnings in your local jurisdiction.
4. Disclaimers & Liability
"As Is" Software: The yodes software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. While we strive for perfection (99.97% uptime targets), software bugs happen. We are not liable for any damages to hardware or loss of data that might theoretically occur (though we design specifically to prevent this).
Beta Status: Certain features (like the Windows installer or cross-chain support) are under active development. You acknowledge that you are using bleeding-edge technology.
No Financial Advice: Nothing on this website constitutes financial or investment advice.
5. Termination
You can stop using yodes at any time. Just close the terminal window or stop the process. You will be paid out for any pending balance at the next daily cycle.
We reserve the right to ban specific nodes if we detect malicious behavior that threatens the integrity of the network for other users.
